Fermentation – biochemical reaction

Fermentation is a biochemical reaction which creates energy from organic substrate thanks to action of microbial enzymes and expels products.
Word «fermentation» becomes from Latin word “fervere” that means « to boil »: a fermenting liquid – an alcoholic one for example – shows an important gaseous release and is like a boiling liquid.
